Camp Schodack has been creating amazing summer camp experiences for children and staff for over 65 years. In all that time we have developed and improved our campgrounds to provide incredible sports and athletic facilities that groups are increasingly taking advantage of. Below we have highlighted some of the most impressive areas of the venue that are available for groups to use.
In addition to the amazing sports facilities, we have a number of indoor and outdoor meeting spaces suitable for large groups, hiking trails, accommodation and dining facilities (with our own in-house catering team) for up to 350 people, and much more.

The Garden (Field House)
Our huge, indoor basketball court serves as a multi-use sports facility. One of the newer buildings on site, the garden has seen a whole host of sports activities. In addition to this indoor court, we also have 2 outdoor basketball courts, both of which are floodlit and perfect for evening (and rainy day) activities. Furthermore, we have a floodlit street hockey court and a floodlit sports field, meaning that you don’t have to stop playing once the sun goes down!

Tennis Courts
7 recently resurfaced tennis courts that sit side-by-side, this is a perfect place to sharpen your skills or simply strike up a friendly game with friends. Located just off the tennis courts we have a golf driving range and pitch and putt course which is a great way to while away some time on a warm afternoon. We also have a soccer field with full-size and mini-goals, for smaller 5v5 competitions, as well as a floodlit sports field that is great for capture-the-flag, tug-o-war, and other team games.
Amazing Food & Dining Hall
Our Dining Hall is going through a 2 phase refurbishment project that will see this amazing space become even better. With indoor seating for over 400 people, the Dining Hall is a perfect space to house small and large groups. In addition to the main space, there is alfresco dining offered out on our patio with seating for a further 100 people, as well as picnic benches spread across the main lawn, adjacent to the Dining Hall.
Our talented team of in-house chefs is available to cater delicious and healthy food, as well as cooking meals for any number of dietary restrictions, prepared in our separate gluten-free, allergen kitchen.
Open Lawns & Playing Fields
What better way to take advantage of the great outdoors than by getting your stretch on! Whether you want to roll out the yoga mat or simply lay in the shade, we have beautifully kept lawns that will be perfect for whatever activity your group may want to take on. The camp has 60 acres of private woodlands as part of the property, that is criss-crossed with hiking trails and perfect for running, exploring, and escaping the sun.

Adventure Sports
For those of your group that is looking for something more challenging or adrenaline-filled, we have a purpose-built go-kart track on which we run time trials with ATV style, dirt buggies. We also have an archery range, and a 5 sided, 40-foot climbing tower with an auto-belay system. This means that once our ropes team has checked your harness and clipped you in, you can climb as much as you like!
And finally, for anyone that might prefer being in water instead of on land, our outdoor heated pool, and 100-yard waterslide are the perfect way to cool off after a hard day running around trying everything else we have onsite!!
