Our New York Conference Center

Camp Schodack’s Berkshire Retreat Center is so much more than just another conference venue. As we have been running as a Summer Camp for over 60 years we know what it takes to create amazing, meaningful experiences. Our wonderful facilities are set against the beauty of New York State, in the Capital Region which looks incredible at any time of the year. We have 100 acres of privately owned woodlands and open lawns for our guests to take advantage of and a huge range of sports and leisure activities. From the adventurous to the relaxing and everything in between, we know that we can accommodate the needs of our guests no matter the occasion.

Location

Located in the Capital Region just south of Albany, our facility is easily accessible from both Boston and Manhattan and is approximately a 2.5 hour drive from both cities. The North East of the United States is the setting for many traditional camps like Schodack but our location, set so close to the beautiful Berkshires and Adirondacks really gives us the most wonderful backdrop for a venue that is so close to two major cities. As well as easy access to those areas we are only a short drive from the Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire borders. Our business season runs from May all the way through the end of October and during those months the Capital Region transforms a number of times as it progresses through the seasons from spring to summer to fall, and each season brings it’s own beauty with it to the area.

Facilities

Our 100-acre property comes with all the features you would expect form a privately owned, summer camp. We have dining facilities capable of accommodating up to 500 guests at any one time in addition to a large outdoor decking area just off our main dining hall. Guests can take advantage of the huge range of activities that are spread across the site including sports fields and tennis, volleyball, soccer and basketball courts alongside more adventurous outdoor activities such as climbing, zip-lining and go-karting. We have a range of indoor and outdoor, multi-use spaces for both small and large groups. Whatever the occasion, we are confident that you will find everything you need and more within our grounds.

Accommodation

We can comfortably house up to 500 guests at any one time and are happy to offer exclusive use of our site or arrange to have shared use of the extensive facilities on offer to multiple groups. Our accommodation comes in a range of cabin styles which include our traditional cabins sleeping 10-20 guests, our private cabins for couples or individuals and finally our Lodge building that sleeps 32, has a central meeting/common room and basic kitchen facilities. Our traditional cabins come with high ceilings, plenty of storage, ceiling fans and large decking/porch areas. Our private cabins come with a/c and have private access. All of our accommodation features en-suite bathroom and shower facilities.
