With your own dedicated member of staff to help you every step of the way you get so much more than your typical retreat center. You can take up any one of a number of amazing offers from self catering and ‘Do It Yourself’ to one of our more all inclusive packages. You can have the site exclusively for your group or share the property with others to increase the chance for networking and more collaborative work. 

Incredible Facilities Located Near Albany

Located just 20 minutes from down town Albany there are 100 acres of privately owned lawns and woodlands that surround the property making it a wonderful escape hidden so close to the capital city of New York. The property is only a 2.5 hour drive from both Manhattan and Boston making it easily accessible from both major cities. Albany train station is only a 15 minute drive and Albany International Airport a 30 minute drive, making it easy to get your guests here from anywhere in the world. Our accommodation can comfortably house up to 500 guests in beautifully renovated and spacious cabins which all have their own shower and bathroom facilities. In addition we have a number of smaller, more intimate cabins that can house couples or individuals.

Our beautiful facilities are part of Camp Schodack, a children’s summer camp that has been under the same continuous family ownership for 4 generations. Having been operating as a summer camp since 1957, the staff at Berkshire Retreat Center know exactly what is needed to take care of people and facilitate amazing experiences. Our facility has hosted schools, sports clubs, reunions, weddings and retreats and every time our guests leave feeling that they have had an incredible time. The wealth of experience amongst our staff means that you got so much more than just a retreat coordinator but someone who cares about the property and facilities as well as having an in depth knowledge of the local area (in the rare instance that you may want to venture outside the property).

Professional and Experienced Staff

By booking your event with us you will have access to our events coordinator who is based at the site the throughout the year. They will be on hand to help you plan and organize your event from its inception, be with you on site throughout the duration of time with us should you have need of assistance and will then wave you goodbye at the end. With years of experience putting together events of all kinds, you can rest assured that you are in good hands from start to finish. In addition to being on had to assist you with your event we are also able to call on a number of qualified, professional activity staff should you wish to access our specialist activities on site such as go-karting, zip-lining, high ropes, our 40ft climbing tower, archery or even have need of lifeguards for out water based activities.
